MEGACON 2022. ✨✨✨

The best money we’ve spent in a while. My mouth hurts from smiling for 6 hours straight. The boys are passed out in the backseat and we were already talking plans for costumes next year. The costumes are absolutely insane, the people are so nice, it’s so kid friendly…literally no regrets taking four kids to hang at the convention center with thousands of people. 😂 I was honestly afraid that it was going to be tough getting from each event to the next on our list but we did pretty much everything we wanted with a few extras. The Star Wars area was LEGIT. Celebrity panels were awesome and you could get close even if you didn’t wait in a long line. The pic opps were 😮😮😮. 10/10.

Another night of magic in the books. ✨ Forever grateful that we have these moments together. Sitting at dinner tonight I told the boys, I can wait but I can’t wait for the day that we’re all sitting together at dinner in the same place at @waltdisneyworld when they’re all teenagers. Seeing a glimpse of the life with a tween in Col as a ten year old seriously has me excited to see what they’ll all be like as almost adults. I hope these nights are ones that we will have again and again as they get older and have families of their own. Keeping the magic alive ✨✨✨

Wanna know what I’m passionate about?! (Beside these four wild boys, of course!) Party planning! I love love love planning parties for these kids! The prepping, staging, planning, theming, decorating, favors, I love it all! AD

We chatted in my stories recently about the how’s, what’s, & when’s of party planning strategy but, we didn’t talk about the importance of party safety! So, in these last few hours before K’s party, I’ve partnered up with @informedfamilies to keep you informed when it comes to having not only a GREAT party but a family-safe party!

MUST DO’S FOR A SAFE HOME, SMART PARTY:

-Avoid doing drop-offs. The more parents/adults to supervise, the better!
-If you can’t avoid drop-offs, make sure to let the parents know a set pick up time!
-Close doors to all off-limit rooms
-Tuck alcohol away in out of reach cabinets
-Make sure all medications are in high cabinets, away from the party space

Hey friend 🤍 it’s the girl who hasn’t lived in your phone for a couple months. Does anyone else shut completely down when life throws hard moments at you like it’s competing in a professional dart contest? We’ve had what feels like more downs than ups lately and the capacity I have for anything outside of our home has been non existent. We’ve had big business decisions to make, another death in our family, 3+ weeks of the vid sickness, a relentless four year old who just may pull my hair out himself if I don’t get to it all, a hole in our backyard that we used to call a pool, and the anxiety…it’s come back full throttle. But, I’ve missed you. Really really missed you. I love what I do here and I’m so grateful that we’ve built a community of really fantastic people and have been able to provide for our fam doing the things we love. So, thank you! Thanks for hanging here while I get my shit together. You’re one in a million. ✌🏼🤍 PS: I’m catching up on DM’s as I can
