You guys watched us over on Instagram this past weekend as we ventured out for our first trip since Florida’s reopening from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our staycation location: Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.
Thank you to Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center for hosting our family. All opinions and experiences are my own.
With travel being so much different now than it has ever been before, we were super grateful to have such a large room that allowed us to feel comfortable when we needed to reinforce our little bubble during our stay at Gaylord Palms Resort!
We had the Deluxe King Suite with an attached Double Queen Room. Both rooms overlooked the Emerald Bay Atrium! We had a total of 3 balconies between the two attached rooms which was really awesome in the evenings to hear the live music and watch the overhead light show!
The Double Queen room was very comfortable for the boys! Two of them shared a bed and the other slept on his own! It was nice that they had their own space, balcony, and TV during our down time!
Upon entering our room from the door which attached our suite, there was a huge 8 person dining table where we ate almost all of our meals during our stay! It was AWESOME and helped to give us a “home away from home” vibe! I think my favorite part of any trip is when we sit together for a meal because honestly, we don’t get to do that as often as I’d like at home so, this was a huge bonus for me!
There are 6 of us total but, we easily could have slept two more in our suite with the pull out sofa in our living space! With another TV and balcony, it would have been the perfect amount of space for grandparents to join us as well (maybe next time)!
The king bedroom was beautiful and gave us enough quiet space and privacy to lay Deck down in the evening in his pack n’ play while the boys were still up playing and being a bit rowdy! (Also, I’m pretty sure this king sized bed has bumped up our timeline on upgrading our bed size at home! haha! Linc climbed in with us on our first night and James had no idea until morning that he was even in bed with us!)
I was very appreciative of Gaylord Palms Resort making an effort to show their dedication to guest safety in guest rooms. In each room were miniature hand sanitizer bottles as well as alcohol wipes when we arrived. At one point, we needed a few things from housekeeping and they brought additional sanitizers in the package as well!
What I love most about the particular room we stayed in was the view! We had a full view of the Emerald Bay Atrium which houses hundreds, if not thousands, of luscious plants, a spectacular evening light show, and live music. As a family, we thoroughly enjoyed the live music and light show both evenings!
