As a mom of 4, it’s not always easy to pop in and catch a family movie in the theater. Those visits usually require multiple potty trips, busy little ones who can’t sit comfortably in the clunky seats, dropping a hefty wad of cash on snacks and drinks, and honestly – usually a cold or bug abut 48 house later. So, a few years ago we started doing monthly family movie nights. The boys love it and it creates more memorable experiences with us as a family!

Spiderman Party Decor
We absolutely loved this movie night theme! With a house of 4 boys, Spiderman is a top choice so I couldn’t let this movie night come and go without pulling out some extras. When I say extras, I don’t mean tons of cash, just some DIY’s and budget-friendly surprises for my little guys!
Movie Night Treats & Favors
Whats a movie night without themed jammies?! I couldn’t pass up these Spiderman onesie pajamas from Walmart. They were under $10 and the boys LOVED them. Not only did they wear them for the movie, they’ve worn them ever since! While I don’t do themed character jammies for every movie night, it sure got them even more excited and was a special surprise!
We’re not big sweets and candy people here but, I did pick up some cute sweet treats for the boys to nibble on while we watched the movie and ordered these GORGEOUS custom Spiderman cookies! What I love about movie nights at home are that you can really pick and choose your treats, snacks, wear your jammies, fall asleep, all in the comfort and cleanliness of your own home. We even have our own countertop popcorn machine that we pull out for movie nights and it really is such a special, memorable experience!
Grab Customizable Spiderman Party Printables HERE!
You know it wouldn’t be a celebration in our home without some custom printables. I created movie tickets, badges, banners, signs, labels, and pizza picks for our movie night and they were SO cute that I ended up repurposing them recently for a friend’s little guy’s birthday party!
Spiderman Backdrop
To keep things on a budget but also fit the theme and give this set-up a bit of scale, I created a city scape backdrop using a white trim-fold poster board and permanent marker from Dollar Tree! Two bucks to level-up our movie night was definitely a win in my book and the boys loved it!
Up above the backdrop, I tied together a handful of red, white, and light blue balloons with a Spiderman balloon to really set the scene!
