Why We Decorate our Playroom:
The playroom is the heart of our home —it’s where so much laughter, pretend play, and creativity come to life. So, I have always loved adding seasonal pieces and dedicating celebrations in this space. Adding Valentine’s Day decor makes it feel like a mini celebration every day during love month! The boys get excited during the day to have a snack at their play table and chairs, sit and do a Valentine’s Craft from their activity bin, and add notes to their personalized mailboxes! I love the heirloom quality of this collection and how all of the piece sit so beautifully together!

You guys, I found SO many adorable things from Pottery Barn Kids and linked them all for you! The details here are adorable from the Rifle Paper Co. Valentine’s Collection! I also added in the XO and vintage style heart garlands, and of course, those personalized pieces that we can use year after year! Our little guys have also absolutely loved the Chocolate Box Shape Sorter and Felt Heart Cookie Play Set!.
Valentine’s Day Brunch Carolina Play Table
I set up their play table with pieces from the Pottery Barn Kids X Rifle Paper Co. collection. The heart shaped plates and adorable mailman cat chargers were so adorable on the reusable cork placemats. They have LOVED the utensils every day for our meals and I layered it all atop the Rifle Paper Co. runner. The centerpieces were a perfect match! I filled the gumball canister with faux cherries and made a little breakfast treat in the heart dish by mixing cream cheese and cherry preserves! They LOVED it!
Personalized Valentine’s Mailboxes & Gifts
One of my FAVORITE things about shopping at Pottery Barn Kids is there incredible selection of personalized gifts! In a house of 5 boys it can be tough to keep track of who’s whose and what’s what’s! So I ordered the SOFTEST most cuddly teddy bears with each of their names on little knit tee shirts, mailboxes for them to leave notes for eahcother throughout the month, and the back of the chair card collectors from the Rifle Paper Co. collection!
Valentine’s Day Book Shelves
Because our playroom is also home to many of our favorite books, I popped in some of their Valentine’s favorites to this little corner! I love that they can hang their art aprons or play chef coats to the knobs on this shelf too! The rattan heart shaped shelf over our cabinet is also stunning and one of my favorite pieces. I stashed a few honeycomb hearts on it to add a pop of red from the rest of the room and Deck’s little Valentine’s puppy & red pullback car!
Festive Play Kitchen Setup
One of my FAVE things to do is refresh their play kitchen with seasonal goodies! I have to share a closer look with you at the chocolate box shape sorter and felt heart cookie set with you because the little boys have been LOVING it! I get heart shaped cookies “baked” up for me ’round the clock these days!
I hope you LOVE this Valentine’s Day playroom refresh as much as we do! It has been so heartwarming watching the boys during their time together with all of the love-themed touches surrounding them.
